Learn how to brew Sangria Pyramid Sachet tea for a fruity, refreshing cup. This guide covers water temperature, steep time, and tips for best flavor.
Quick answer
Brew Sangria Pyramid Sachet tea with water just off the boil, steep for 3–5 minutes, and enjoy a rich berry and hibiscus flavor without added sugar.
Why brewing temperature matters for fruity teas
Fruity herbal teas like Sangria contain hibiscus and berry pieces that release flavor best at near-boiling water (200–212°F). Using cooler water may make the cup taste weak and flat. However, boiling water can extract too much bitterness from hibiscus if steeped too long, so keep an eye on the clock.
How to brew Sangria Pyramid Sachet tea
- Heat the water: Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil, then let it cool for 30 seconds. Target temperature: 200–212°F (just off the boil). Boiling water can make the tea bitter if steeped too long, so don't skip the cooling step.
- Steep the sachet: Place one Sangria Pyramid Sachet in your cup and pour the hot water over it. Let it steep for 3–5 minutes. For a stronger flavor, steep the full 5 minutes; for a lighter cup, remove at 3 minutes. Steeping longer than 5 minutes may make the tea taste overly tart due to the hibiscus.
- Remove and enjoy: Lift the sachet out by the tag, allow it to drip briefly, then discard or compost the biodegradable bag. Serve hot or pour over ice for a refreshing iced tea. For iced tea, double the steeping time to 6–8 minutes in half the water, then pour over ice.
