Decaf Assam

Decaf Assam

Tasting Notes: rich + malty Description: A decaffeinated black tea from the Assam region of India. A medium-bodied black tea with hearty malty notes. This Decaf Assam is more hearty and earthy than our lighter and more brisk Decaf Ceylon. This is our original 'Decaf Black Tea' that we know call Decaf Assam since we've added the Decaf Ceylon. Our decaf teas are created using the CO2 decaffeination process. The advantage of this technique is that no chemical solvents are used to remove the caffeine. In this manner of decaffeination, naturally occurring CO2 is applied to the tea leaf in a circulation process which carefully uses high pressure and temperature to extract the caffeine. A very slight residue of caffeine will remain in the tea leaf, which is why we call them decaf teas rather than no caffeine teas. There will be a slight change in the character and flavor of the tea due to the decaffeination process, but the end result is an uncompromising cup of tea with no chemical overtones. Please note: If you'd like a 100% naturally caffeine-free tea, we suggest that you try our large selection of no caffeine teas such as: herbal teas, rooibos teas, honeybush teas, and fruit tisanes. Ingredients: decaffeinated Assam black tea Steep Directions: steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 3-4 minutes Decaf Tea

Baymen's Blend

Baymen's Blend

Now a touch more minty Tasting Notes: creamy vanilla + soft mint Description: A restorative blend of calming chamomile, soothing mint, creamy vanilla, and antioxidant rich South African rooibos tea. A tea to help you feel grounded and refreshed. A relaxing tea with the taste of creamy vanilla, fresh mint, and an earthy finish. This tea was inspired by the early to bed and early to rise mentality of our local fishermen and baymen on the Long Island Sound. In 2011, we made this tea in honor of one of our regulars who is a local clammer. As a bayman, he fishes on the Long Island Sound. After waking at 4am and fishing all day, he requested a relaxing herbal tea to sip in the afternoons to restore him after his workday. Baymen's Blend has won the heart of many over the last decade. Ingredients: red rooibos tea, chamomile, peppermint, vanilla, cornflowers Steep Directions: steep 1-2 heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 7-10 minutes

Lemon Palmer

Lemon Palmer

Tasting Notes: sweet lemon, brisk black tea Description: Inspired by Arnold Palmer iced teas, this tea is a blend of brisk Ceylon black tea with bold lemon. Each sip has the perfect balance of lemonade balanced with classic black tea. In this refreshing tea you'll find sweet notes of lemon, that are reminiscent of lemon Italian ice, blending seamlessly with smooth black tea. If you enjoy half and half iced teas, half black tea and half lemonade, then this is the tea for you! This is the perfect tea to flash chill or cold brew for a delicious iced tea. Ingredients: black tea, lemon, lemon peel, freeze dried lemon, pineapple, apple, red currants Steep Directions: steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 3-4 minutes
