Category: Decaf Black Tea

Tasting Notes: soft cream + vanilla

Description:  We've blended a high quality decaffeinated black tea with a dairy-free cream flavor. The result is a brisk black tea that has subtle soft cream notes. If you enjoy traditional English Breakfast teas with milk and sugar, we recommend this tea.

Our decaf teas are created using the CO2 decaffeination process. The advantage of this technique is that no chemical solvents are used to remove the caffeine. In this manner of decaffeination, naturally occurring CO2 is applied to the tea leaf in a circulation process which carefully uses high pressure and temperature to extract the caffeine. A very slight residue of caffeine will remain in the tea leaf, which is why we call them decaf teas rather than no caffeine teas. There will be a slight change in the character and flavor of the tea due to the decaffeination process, but the end result is an uncompromising cup of tea with no chemical overtones.

Please note: If you'd like a 100% naturally caffeine-free tea, we suggest that you try our large selection of no caffeine teas such as: herbal teas, rooibos teas, honeybush teas, and fruit tisanes.

Ingredients: decaffeinated black tea, vanilla, cream flavor, cornflowers

Steep Directions: steep 1 heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz boiling water, 205-212°F, for 3-4 minutes

Julian ★★★★★

I switched to this for my after-dinner cup and honestly don't miss the caffeine. The cream flavor is subtle rather than syrupy, so it still drinks like a proper brisk black tea.

Samuel ★★★★★

The vanilla comes through just right, not fake or syrupy, and the cream note makes it feel indulgent without any dairy. I’ve been drinking it every afternoon instead of my usual dessert craving, and it brews up smooth with no bitterness.

I’ve been hunting for a decaf option that doesn’t taste watery or flat, and this one finally delivers that brisk black tea bite with the cream flavor woven in rather than slapped on top. The dairy-free part is a bonus since I’m lactose-sensitive, and it brews up smooth without any bitterness creepin
